Learning In Public

It sucks to suck.

It’s worse to struggle in public for everyone to see.

Yet completely necessary to improve.

Putting yourself out there is a learned skill. It comes naturally to the best and is nails on a chalkboard for the rest.

If you want to be a photographer, post your photos, if you want to make movies, have a premiere. If you want to be a writer, let people read.

If you want to learn anything, do it in public.

Being bad is the best opportunity you’ll ever have.

Good is good, and no one cares.

Painfully bad to great is a story worth remembering.

If you can look back at your past work and cringe as if being forced to relive your awkward teenage years, you’re doing something right, improving over time.

Jump in. Let the embarrassment begin.
