Putting yourself out there. It is one of the hardest parts. I’ve never been confident enough or good at it, always preferring to be the behind the scenes kind of guy. It’s hard to come to terms with, but in starting Honest Intent, I looked to some of the business owners I admire most. 

A few of my heroes, Jim Thiebaud, Benny Gold, and Chris Baca, are all very different but share two things in common. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and go out of their way to help and teach others through their own experiences. I admire them for it and have learned an endless amount by following their careers.

I wish I could do this without posting a selfie, but I’d be lying if I thought it was possible to have a company story without a person to connect it to. 

I have no idea where this path will go, but I plan on putting it out there, good, bad and everything in between in hopes that it might help anyone out there thinking about starting something of their own.
